Avis has partnered with Linkt to ensure toll payments are simple. You will be sent the information to access a Linkt Rental Account when you travel on a toll road. This account is automatically set up using your booking information, and will let you view your trips, payment details and statements.
All payments for tolls will be automatically made with the credit or debit card that you provided for your rental vehicle.

Returning
What are you supposed to do before you return a rental car?
When you return your rental car to Avis, you must do so with a full tank of fuel. We also ask that you remove all your personal belongings from the vehicle. Finally, please return the car to us in a clean state, ready for the next customer to drive.
Can I return a car to the location before or after business hours?
There are select Avis locations that allow returns outside of business hours. Please contact the return location directly or contact the Avis Reservations team to check if this is possible on 136 333.
Do I get a refund if I return my rental car early?
If you return the vehicle before the original return date (early return), you will not be refunded any portion of your payment. This does not detract from your rights as a consumer under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Can I return my rental car to a different location?
Avis allows one way rentals between select locations. Enter your details in the search widget to see available options. Credit Card Policies
Avis generally accepted credit and debit cards include; Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and an Avis Charge Card. However, some locations may not accept all card types.
At commencement of rental, Avis does not accept a prepaid or reloadable stored value card, a travel money card or an EFTPOS card. Avis also does not accept cards presented on phones/watches and doesn't allow contactless payment methods such as pay-wave. A physical credit or debit card must be presented at the start of rental. At the end of the rental, some Avis locations will accept a prepaid or reloadable stored value card as a final form of payment.
Please Note: Rentals paid for by a valid credit/debit card will be subject to a card transaction fee of 1.29% (including GST) at time of pick-up.
Pay Now: If the names on the credit card do not match the credit card used at Reservation, it may be deemed as a non-permissible change to your Pay Now reservation. You may be required to cancel and re-book at the current rates (including any reasonable and applicable cancellation fees).
Avis Australia may require a customer renting a vehicle to complete a Rental Qualification Form and provide additional identification as it deems necessary or appropriate or in accordance with applicable law. Please see Rental Qualification Policy.

Drivers License
The Driver must (i) hold a full, current and valid driving licence (not being a learners, provisional or restricted licence), (ii) have an International Driving Permit (IDP) or official translation (if licence is not in Roman alphabet), (iii) have held their licence for minimum 12 consecutive months immediately prior to signing the Rental Agreement.
An International Driving Permit is not a stand-alone document and this must be carried with your valid domestic driving licence for it to be valid.
Digital drivers licences (with the correct endorsements) are accepted for any Avis rental. All digital licences must be checked live at the time of rental, via the respective validation process. A screenshot or photo of the licence is not accepted.
A digital licence does not replace a physical licence and you should still carry your physical card, when travelling outside the issuing state or territory.

Política sobre el uso de combustible

- Debe guardar el número de confirmación de su reserva, porque es necesario para las modificaciones y cancelaciones. Las modificaciones o cancelaciones de una reserva prepagada deben realizarse en Avis.com.au o mediante una llamada a Reservas.
- Si tiene que cancelar por lo menos 24 horas antes de su hora de retiro programada, recibirá el reembolso del monto pagado por anticipado menos un cargo por cancelación de hasta $82.50 AUD.
- Si tiene que cancelar dentro de las 24 horas anteriores a su hora de retiro programada, recibirá el reembolso del monto pagado por anticipado menos un cargo por cancelación de hasta 165.00 AUD.
- Si el valor de la reservación es inferior al cargo por cancelación, no se le cobrará un monto superior ni tendrá derecho a un reembolso.
- Si no cancela la reservación antes de la hora de retiro y no retira el vehículo en la fecha de retiro, se le aplicará un cargo por no presentación correspondiente al monto prepagado completo a modo de multa.

Métodos de pago
- Por lo general, Avis acepta tarjetas de crédito, como Visa, MasterCard y American Express. Sin embargo, puede que algunas oficinas no acepten todos los tipos de tarjeta. - Debit cards are not permitted.
- At the start of your rental, a hold will be placed on your card for the total estimated rental charges plus an additional pre-authorisation of $200 on credit card.
- Drivers must hold a full valid drivers licence (not being a learners or provisional licence) and be over 25 years of age.
- Local Renters - The Local Airport Qualification Form must be completed with 2 contact telephone numbers. A second form of identification will be required for your booking. You will be required to provide proof of your current address that matches your current driver¿s licence. An example of the acceptable form of ID is a current utility or phone bill.
- Interstate one-way rentals are not permitted on Signature Series vehicles.

Local driving conditions and restrictions vary between locations, so you must contact the pickup location prior to your rental date for further information.
