Pick-up Service Available
To use our free pick-up service, call your Avis rental location directly at the location phone number listed on your reservation confirmation. Pick-up service policies (hours of availability, allowable pick-up distance, etc.) vary by location so it's important that you call the location and make arrangements for pick-up at least 24 hours before your desired rental time. When you call the location, be ready to provide all applicable information including precise address, exact time of pick up, and a phone number where you can be reached at that time.
Please note that an off-airport Avis location cannot pick you up at an airport that has a Avis location. In this case, either you must rent your car at the airport location, or provide your own transportation to the off-airport location where you prefer to rent

When a customer arrives at the airport (BGI), they will be given a mandatory PCR COVID Test - It usually takes about 6 - 16 hours to get the result. After they receive a Negative test result please call 246-416-4456 to indicate if they would like to collect at our airport office hours (8:00 am - 5:30 pm), or they can request to have the car delivered free of charge between 9:00 am-4:00 pm to any hotel / villa on the island (There is no charge for delivery). Customers are welcome to return vehicles to the airport on departure.

Optional Coverages
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional.
Purchase of CDW reduces the renters financial liability (NWE) in case of damage to the Avis vehicle. Purchase of CDW does not cover damage to tires, rims, hub caps, glass and upholstery. If CDW is accepted, the Non-Waivable Excess (NWE) is 125.00 USD. If CDW is declined, the customer may be responsible for up to the full value of the car.
Other coverages may be available, check at the counter for availability and additional details.
Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.
Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are only accepted for final payment.
Drivers License
At the time of rentals, the driver must present a valid drivers license in the drivers name from their country of residence. Customers presenting a drivers license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license..
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Age Requirements
The minimum age to rent or drive an Avis vehicle is 21. The maximum age is 80. For renters or drivers 75-80 years of age a medical certificate is required.
Delivery and Collection
The Avis Barbados Airport will deliver and collect Avis cars from any hotels within a 20 mile radius free of charge.
Exception: We do not provide delivery or collection from Cruise Terminal.
