All additional drivers must meet the same minimum age & drivers license requirements as the renter.

Damage Waiver (CDW)

In most cases, Damage Waiver is provided with the vehicle as standard. If it is included, it will be stated on your Rental Agreement Form (and in your booking confirmation).

Damage Waiver reduces the amount you pay for each clearly separate incident of damage if the vehicle is damaged (or the amount you pay to replace any keys, accessories or vehicle documents that are lost, stolen or damaged).

The amount you pay for each clearly separate incident of damage will be the lower of a) the applicable cost payable under the Theft, Loss, and Damages Policy; or b) the excess stated on your Rental Agreement Form.

Super Damage Waiver (SCDW)

An excess reduction product which reduces your damage waiver excess to zero (or, if higher, the amount shown on your Rental Agreement Form).

Normally between KRW 22,800.00 and KRW 66,800.00 per day.

Theft Protection waiver (TP)

In most cases, Theft Protection waiver is provided with the vehicle as standard. If it is included, it will be stated on your Rental Agreement Form (and in your booking confirmation).

Theft Protection waiver reduces the amount you pay if the vehicle is stolen during the rental period.

The amount you pay will be the lower of a) the applicable cost payable under the Theft, Loss, and Damages Policy; or b) the excess stated on your Rental Agreement Form.

Windscreen protection

This protection reduces the amount you pay to zero if the windscreen is damaged while you're renting the vehicle. Having windscreen protection also means you won't pay a Damage/Loss/Repair Processing Fee.

Roadside Assistance Plus

This product provides roadside assistance without any additional costs being charged if you break down as a result of vehicle failure you have caused (this includes lost keys).

Avis accepts Avis Charge Cards, AirPlus, American Express, BC Bankcard, Diners Club Int'l., Mastercard, Visa.

Not accepted

Covers the driver of the vehicle and personal items in the vehicle in the event of an accident. Personal Accident Insurance provides the following benefits:

• Personal Injuries: Up to ₩15 million per person, Up to ₩150 million per accident
• Property damage: Up to ₩20 million per accident
• Third party liability: Unlimited coverage

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Minimum age: renters must be at least 21 years old to rent most vehicles. For luxury vehicles, an additional age requirement of 26 years or older is added.

Maximum age: N/A

Approximate total includes base rate, taxes, and surcharges. Items such as one-way fees, coupon discounts, registration fee, child safety seats and gas are NOT included in the estimated total. Optional coverages and one-way fees are subject to tax in certain locations. This tax is not reflected in the Estimated Total.

Estimated total is subject to change based upon exchange rates at the time of rental.

Fuel charges - traditional fuel (diesel or petrol) and hybrid vehicles
Returning the vehicle

Unless you agreed a different refuelling option (see below), you must return the vehicle to us with the same amount of fuel it had in it when you picked it up usually a full tank as shown on the factory-installed fuel gauge or automatically logged in respect of connected cars.

Take a photo of your dashboard before you leave. Upon returning your vehicle, you must fill up to the same level of gas as when you first rented. Either you can fill up with fuel during rental or pay the shortage at the return location (credit card only).

Lessee must pay for the fuel/charging fees using the card prepared in the vehicle. Note that there will be no refund if the lessee pays using personal credit/debit cards (including cash). Upon returning the vehicle, a fixed cost of per 1km covered will be incurred, based on the distance you covered. 

*Fixed cost per 1km varies among vehicle type. 
Fully electric vehicles

Charging fees must be paid when you return. It is based on the actual distance travelled.
*Charging fees = (arrival mileage – departure mileage) x charging rate (per 1km)
> Actual amount of charging fees must be checked by the location manager. 

If you want to pick up the vehicle and return it to a different location, an additional fee will be payable.

If you asked for a one-way rental when you booked, the fee will be included in your total rental price.

If you didn't ask for a one-way rental when you booked and you want to return the vehicle to a different location in the same country, you can expect pay an additional fee of between KRW 37,000.00 and KRW 328,000.00

Drop offs at a different location must be agreed with us in advance. Please contact us if you would like to understand what additional fee will apply to a one-way rental in circumstances where it didn't form part of your original rental agreement.

If you did not request a one-way rental but return the vehicle to a different location, you will be charged a one-way fee at the 'pay at location' prices available on the day you return the vehicle.

Vehicles are not permitted to leave South Korea.
