How long does it take to drive from Auckland to Hamilton?

The drive from Auckland to Hamilton is approximately 125 kilometres and depending on traffic will take around 90 minutes. Why not break up the trip with a stop in Pokeno, which claims to have New Zealand’s best ice cream.  

How far is New Plymouth from Taupo?

The time it takes to drive from New Plymouth to Taupo depends on the route you take:

  1. Taking State Highway 3 directly is approximately 280 kilometres and usually takes 3 hours 45 minutes
  2. Taking State Highway 3 and State Highway 32 is approximately 295 kilometres and takes usually 4 hours and 15 minutes
  3. Choosing the slower State Highway 3, State Highway 47 and State Highway 1 is approximately 315 kilometres and depending on traffic takes around 4 hours and 45 minutes 

How long does it take to drive from Paihia to Cape Reinga?

The drive from the beautiful town of Paihia to Cape Regina at the top of the North Island is approximately 215 kilometres and takes around 3 hours to drive.
